Every Stone Has a Story

Every stone I paint begins in silence.
It sits there small, still, unassuming - as if holding a secret only time could tell.
I often think of them as storytellers, ancient and patient, waiting for someone to listen.

When I pick one up, I always wonder:
Where has it been? How many years did it rest under the river’s skin, shaped by water and wind?
Before I ever touch it with color, it already carries a lifetime of stories.

The Stories Hidden Beneath the Surface

Some stones remind me of peace, smooth, gentle, effortless.
Others feel wild, unpredictable, full of tiny scars and lines that tell of storms and journeys.

I don’t choose them; they seem to choose me.
And as I begin to paint, their voices guide me,
a whisper of forest here, a trace of sunset there, a dream of waves that never end.

Each design grows not from imagination alone,
but from the conversation between my hands and what the stone already knows.

A Memory Made Visible

Sometimes, while painting, I remember moments from my own life, a place I once stood, a sky I once watched, a feeling I can’t name but still remember.

Those memories find their way into the art, quietly, without asking.
And that’s how every Leebeno stone becomes more than a piece of craft, it becomes a vessel of time, carrying both the earth’s memory and mine.

When someone holds it, the story continues,
because they, too, will see something personal in its shapes and colors.
The story never truly ends; it simply changes hands.

The Art of Listening

Painting on stone has taught me to listen - not just to nature,
but to the quiet inside myself.

The slower I move, the clearer the story becomes.
It’s never about control. It’s about trust,
trusting that the stone will reveal what it’s meant to be.

And when it does, it always feels like rediscovering something ancient, something deeply human.

A Small Thought to Leave Behind

Each Leebeno stone carries a story,
some about peace, some about love, some simply about the beauty of existing.

They remind us that even the smallest things hold entire worlds inside them.
All we have to do is pause, look closer, and listen long enough to hear them speak.
